A meso-cycle is a pre-defined time frame, or a training period that consists of several weeks of consistent training. In this case, a meso-cycle consists of 6 weeks. 5 weeks with increasing intensity and / or volume and one taper week, called a deload, to allow for complete revovery before a new meso-cycle.
